4lbs. Yukon gold potatoes 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter 1 cup milk 1 cup heavy cream 1 medium onion, minced (optional) 2-4 cloves garlic, minced 1 T salt 1 tsp. black pepper Garnish with scallions or rich, meaty gravy Directions
Peel or scrub potatoes if you like the skins on. Cut potatoes in half and place in a large pot of boiling water until potatoes are tender all the way through (about 20 minutes). |
